About

Interest and Career Values Skills:

Using the ‘Summary of Self Awareness Audit’ to help indicate my current skills, I have gained knowledge that has categorised my strengths and weaknesses into my Interests and Career values, which evidently would help me with me define my skills in a future career.

Taking the Interest audit test, my skills strived in three categories, Social, Artistic and Conventional. With my social skills, I am able to rely on gut instincts which help becomes handy when helping others out with either teaching, understanding and informing. Apart from being helpful, I am also friendly, concerned, and I use my feelings to understand and become close to a person to hopefully earn their trust, and in return offer my guidance and advice towards them. My Artistic interest portrays that I am an ideas and people focused individual. I like to develop my skills through a freedom of routine, which includes music, writing and language. Instead of wholly putting my trust in gut instincts, like shown in my social interests, I also heavily rely on my mind, body and feelings. The skills that I developed with my artistic interests point to a job where I am able to use my creative skills. Lastly my conventional interests, portrays a different light also, showing that I am Data and Think focused. I do enjoy a routine and activities that encourage me to organise and order myself. Unlike my Social and Artistic skills pointing me in a job direction of sensitivity, the conventional skills that I have adopted, present me best for jobs with technical equipment and IT. The best path for me to find a job is in an organisation.

With my career values, i was categorised in three skills that embrace my Sense of Purpose, Reward and Recognition, and Enterprise. My skill of a sense of purpose recognises that I value social justice and creating a change in my workforce or the area that I am placed within as I fight for the disadvantaged and produce work that would make a difference in world. Bringing in my skill of Reward and Recognition, I take on the values of decision making, fringe benefits, and endorse the benefits of fame and salary that comes within the career. With these four skills, I am able to show some sort of positive authority to my peers so they are able to seek guidance from me. This also brings in the face that I want to be recognised for the work that I produced. The last skills that I portrayed in this test was enterprise. Within this skill the four major values that I embraced was power, advancement opportunities, leadership responsibilities and lastly creativity. With these four skills, I am able to construct projects in an environment where i’m not only able to provide my ideas to my surrounding peers but also be able to develop my skills by the responsibilities that are given to me. Lastly, the ideas that I would take on will allow me some type of freedom with my skill of creativity. These four skills are largely seen around individuals or groups who own or run a business.

With the skills that I have adopted, I have strong ability in Building Relationships, Verbal Communication, Working Under Pressure, Teamwork, Project Management, and Planning and Organising. The strong abilities that I mainly focus on, produce a lack of ability in a criteria of skills that I enjoy and do have an interest in. This includes Creativity and Innovation, Research, Technical Skills, Questioning and Investigation, Leadership and Analysis.
